Gloria band blog

Special thanks to our friends who came down to Prince of Wales (POW) and Lau Pa Sat to support us over the last two weekends. We'll be playing at the POW on 4th June. We'll confirm as the date gets nearer.

We went to the studio to jam after a 6 weeks break due to work commitments of some of our members. Ok, it was just me, I was busy with work for the past 5 weeks. It felt really good to jam together again and the vibe in the studio was very positive. It felt like when we drove up to KL, u know, those kind of things.

There are a couple of gigs coming up for us. Stay tuned!

The guys in the band jammed on Thursday without Jason, who had some family matters to attend to (remember to pray for him). Josh introduced another song and we had quite a good time figuring that out together with the other new song that we learned bout three weeks ago.

The relationship within the band has it's ups and downs, but there is no love is lost, in fact the bond that we have just keeps getting stronger. I'm gald to be part of the unit!

I was rather tired (fell sick for about a month now) but totally inspired by the Gloria guys. We worked on the tempos of most of our songs and Jon made me realised how much I am rushing through certain songs. Being in control is hard and it takes discipline and that is what playing in a band is all about, Discipline and yet still have fun as a band.

We have a new song courtesy of Josh, I am looking forward to more jamming sessions with these guys to nail that song down!

So 2004, here here we are going at yah!

We'll have our first gig after a good break on 27th Sept 2003 at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. We'll be playing a short 20 minutes set. Although the time allocated to us is short, we have no complains about it as long as we have a chance to play.

I am particularly excited about the gig because it's happening in my own backyard!

I know we always make a joke out of him, but I feel that he is the most sensitive and most misunderstood guy in the world. The band hung out yesterday at WMUM shop where Jon is working and we had a good time just getting to know how our brother is doing.

All I can say now is "Gloria Forever..."
